This article says that 30 millions foreighners visited japan in 2018,on the other hand,A lot of troubles are happening.
Ramen is so popular these days for foreighners but they do not know the way how to eat.
there are three concerns from ramen shop's view point.
①vegitarian
some can't eat pork.tourists are able to ask to avoid pork and shop is able to understand.but in the first place,some soup is made by pig bone.some costomers don't eat after they realize it is made by big bones,even though the shop remove the pork.
②communication
some foreighners enjoy communication with the local.but shop is troubled to be asked too much."they ask specific questions in English that I can not answer even in Japanese" a staff of the ramen shop says.
③how to eat
"tsukemen" is dip style of ramen.it comes soup and noodle separately.One costomer take all soup onto noodle but the bottom of the noodle's dish has many holes to drain like a strainer.His clothes get wet by soup and he is angry.

if you have certain food you can not eat,you should tell that in advance.
example.
I am vegitarian⇒ベジタリアンです（vejitarian desu）
without meat please⇒にくいれないでください（niku irenaide kudasai）
is the soup discluding meat?⇒スープににくはありませんか？（suupu ni niku ha arimasennka?）
I am Muslim⇒イスラム教です（isuram kyoto desu）
pork ぶたにくbutaniku/beef ぎゅうにくgyuniku/chichen とりにくtoriniku/
egg たまご tamago /fish さかなsakana/sea food シーフードseafood
②communication
Basically,communication between the costomer and the working people is not so common here in Japan.just short time conversation would be the best.if you are curious about japanese cuisene,ask google rather than men(most of them can not speak English and want to focus on cooking)
